General Information


The Cascais International Orienteering Meeting 2025 is an orienteering event governed by the Competition Rules of the Portuguese Orienteering Federation and the International Orienteering Federation and is open to federated orienteers and the general public.

Hard Floor e Showers (updated on March 4th)

There will be other sports activities at the Hard Floor during the weekend, so we thank you for complying with the following rules and schedules:

- Friday – entry from 10 PM, exit on Saturday until 8 AM, collecting all the material – if you wish, a space will be available at the Hard Floor to leave some of your belongings
- Saturday - entry from 7 PM, exit on Saturday until 8 AM

It is strictly forbidden to eat inside the Hard Floor, only the stands can be used for this purpose.
It is strictly forbidden to enter the Hard Floor wearing spiked shoes.


Prémios (updated on March 6th)

CIOM 2025: Prizes for the first 3 athletes in each class (5 first in M21E and W21E classes) and 3 best clubs.
Cascais Night Sprint: Prizes for the first 3 athletes in each class (5 first in M21E and W21E classes) 
WRE: prizes for the 5 first in W21E and M21E;

PreO: Prizes for the first 3 athletes in each class

Prizes will also be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each of the 4 Open classes (sum of points from 3 footO stages).
All participants in the T10 and D/H12 classes will receive a participation souvenir, regardless of their result.

Changes and Rentals

SI Card hire (used for timing the race) is €1.5 per day in any competition category. If you want to use a SIAC (proximity marking system), the rental fee will be €3.5 for all classes.
SI Card changes must be requested at the event secretariat and are subject to the fee in force according to the FPO regulations (€2 per change).
Note: The loss or non-return of the rented SI Card will incur a fee of between 30€ and 66€, depending on the type of SI Card.

Start Times
In competition classes, there will be no changes to the start time on the day of the race.
In the open and training classes (T10 and D/H12) there will be an assigned start time for their dispersion in the start time window, however they will start their routes using a ‘START’ station.

Insurance

Athletes affiliated to the Portuguese Orienteering Federation (FPO) and athletes who are not affiliated, but are resident in Portugal or have Portuguese nationality, are covered by the FPO's insurance. For the latter, a fee is charged for each day of participation (see registration section).

Signing

The GPS coordinates of the event's important locations, namely the car park and arenas, will be made available on the event's website.


Babysitting
Babysitting will be available at all the races and prior registration is required on the registration platform (OriOasis).
